12 September 2013 : Namibia Outtakes

We left Swakopmund under a grey sky, which is normal as this is the fog that rolls in from the Atlantic every morning. The drive north to the Skeleton Coast is on a salt road, which is quite strange to drive on. It feels really smooth, but you don't slide around on it. We were on the way to Damaraland, which as you can see from the photos at the end of the series here, is pretty much a landscape photographer's dream. Incredible rock formations and the most insane sunsets you can imagine. For some strange reason that I still can't understand, our organiser had only booked us in there for 1 night, so the best visual part of Namibia got the least amount of time out of a 30 day safari.

Anyway... up first are some holiday houses from the Skeleton coast.

Here are a few Damaraland outtakes. If I ever do another safari in Namibia I will make sure that this area gets the amount of time it deserves.
