  1. The Sony a7 (Mk 1) at USD $798. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1008114-REG/sony_ilce7_b_a7_mirrorless_digital_camera.html
  2. About an hour ago I was in a Sony boutique shop looking and handling the Sony A7. I have mixed feelings about this camera. The form factor is a little weird looking - a bit too blocky for my liking, but the ergonomics felt good. I kind of instinctively knew how to operate everything. The size is much bigger than I would have thought looking at product photos of the camera. Build quality felt a bit lacking to me. It's way lighter than you'd think looking at its size though. The EVF was a bit disappointing compared to the Olympus EVF's I am used to - the shadows seemed very dark. Maybe there's a setting to change that? Shutter sounded good to me. I liked the sound of it. I wish they had had an A7R I could have compared it to. Price for the body with a kit lens (forget what it was) was $2300, which is way more than I would want to spend on it. Then I also saw the RX100. Nice looking compact! It felt a lot better made than the A7.
