  1. Today there is new firmware for: Olympus: E-M1, E-M5 II Sony: A6000, A7 series Sony bumps the fw. to version 2.0 and adds XAVC-S codec and faster startup speed. It seems that Fujifilm is inspiring its' competitors.
  2. The new firmware that gives C-AF up to 9 fps has been released, and the camera updater software can be used to update the camera. With previous firmware the maximum was 6.5 fps in the C-AF mode, according to Olympus.

    Olympus E-M5 firmware update

    I just read that there was a new firmware upgrade for the E-M5 (ver 2.0), so I duly did the upgrade to see what was new. One of the two new features this upgrade adds that will make E-M5 owners quite happy is that the camera now offers ISO 100, or LOW as they call it. This will allow users to make better use of the super fast Olympus glass at wider apertures in bright daylight conditions.
