    Gouda #1

Yesterday I visited the city of Gouda (well known for it''s cheese). It was beautiful Autumn weather so nice colours and beautiful shadows and light. When I saw this old cast iron bridge I thought it was worth an image. The square format was intentional, no crop in post processing.
  2. Being a little bit further north, I didn't need to stay up quite as late as Alan to indulge in a bit of night photography. Took a short detour on the way home to grab a few pictures. I'd seen some possibilities from my usual walk home and went for a closer look. Eastbound Westbound I think I've posted a few from around here before, but from the opposite side of the road. Westbound #2 This was the shot I headed out for, but the angles didn't quite work this close in with the wider lens. One to go back for with a longer lens. Westbound #3 And a bit of going wild with the curves. All shot with Nikon J1 with 10-f/2.8. I seem to be able to grab shots in such environments with this that I have never managed with the bigger camera. I guess in part to the short focal length on the small sensor and the electronic shutter.
  3. Two images of details of steel constructions. First one is the Hohenzollernbrücke/bridge built between 1907-1911, the second one is the roof of the Köln Hauptbahnhoff/Cologne Central Station built between 1889-1894. Olympus E-M10 + Olympus 25mm f1.8. Please view large.

    Small Bridge

A cliche photo for anyone visiting Guanajuato Mexico "puente del campanero" or bellman bridge the street was dug deeper, and a bridge was built so the house on the left could be entered, or so they say ... Christmas decorations include piñatas A mix of electric light with dawn They have this huge lamps all over interesting places ... making it hard to avoid flare and I did not have my lens hood ...
