  1. Woke up to another warm day. Sun or rain, I love this view. This is the final shot made with my X-T1...next stop: Nikon D810!
  2. Two giant sisters were in Stavanger today; Queen Mary 2 & Queen Elizabeth. Funny how they reflect their hulls differently despite being the same colour. The second image is my preferred version though. The third is also one I like, but I realise it is not to everyone's taste. The tulip was swaying in the wind outside my front door. Poor thing is still longing back to the summer days we had last weekend. Now we're back to +10C and showers :wild:
  3. These are two lunch captures with the D800 and Siggy 150-500/5.6-6.3 OS. The lens was given to me for free due to the fact that it had experienced drowning in fresh water and was full of grit and dirt and really didn't work. So I took it home, tried it out and sure enough it was plagued with poor performance. In a state of silliness, I left it on the coffee table with the intention of operating the innards a bit the next day. Shouldn't have left it there. The woman I live with moved the table and the camera/lens fell to the floor, the lens snapped in two. I thought that was that. But I couldn't give up so I opened up the already opened up lens and with epoxy and some tools I managed to return it to operational state. Wonder how long it will last me... First one shot at 500mm, f/8 and the second one at 500mm, f/6.3.
  4. Albeit a little overwhelmed by the scene it is still a valuable part of the image...in my mind at least.
  5. Lunch walk with the little X20.
  6. stenrasmussen

    X20 night

    From my neighbourhood.
  7. Morning on my way to work I liked what I saw so I stopped the car and captured this.
  8. As part of my D7100 tryout, shot with the 28/1.8G.
  9. I was looking at her looking at the sky.
  10. While waiting for my GF to finish work I fooled around in the beech forest next door. This is reflections from artwork put out in the "wild".
  11. Popped out during lunch to get a break from intense seismic interpretation.
  12. I left my Nikon at home  The light was gorgeous, 50 shades of grey mixed with the sunmade pastels. I had to grab the moment and my iPhone 5 was the "rescue".
  13. All of a sudden the "Menu" on my D3100 came back to life and I can now adjust settings (more easily). Here's a pic made with the 85/1.8G.
