  1. A series of images of the newly constructed head office of AFAS Software at Leusden/The Netherlands. Obviously there's money in selling software! The installation art in front of the building is called "You are the World" and is made by Lorenzo Quinn (a son of the famous actor Anthony Quinn). Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 1. 2. 3. 4.
  2. This colourful gas station was on my to-shoot list for a long time waiting for the right weather and light conditions. I was lucky with the brand new red Toyota Yaris completing the colours I had in mind for this scene. As I stood on the driveway the proud owner was willing to cooperate. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8
  3. A tribute to Diego Maradona (by artist Caspar van Adrichem), Skatepark Vathorst Amersfoort/The Netherlands Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8
  4. Double Fun with a Canon Canonet QL17 G-III (double exposure effect done in post processing)

    Mebin

An image I've shot a few weeks ago, from the Mebin concrete mortar factory. I've put some extra effort in extracting the details in post processing. I hope it shows (please click on the image).

    STAR

When I go on a bicycle ride I take a camera with me. This is the only image I've shot on yesterday's ride.
  7. Today I shot this series of images during a visit to a vintage shop. The models were very patient and even didn't mind me using a small amount amount of on-board fill flash which is one of the reasons I like the E-M10 series a lot. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 25mm 1.8 (imo the best of the 17/25/45mm f1.8 trio) 1. 2. 3. 4.
  8. On a bicycle ride I saw this great looking Ariel 350cc motorcycle from 1938. Of course, I had to stop and photograph this classic. Both images Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 After a few minutes the owner emerged and we talked a while about motorcycles and this one in particular. He told me it's from 1938, he bought it in 1973 from his first monthly salary of 600 Dutch guilders. A modest, very friendly man and a pleasure to talk with him. The engine started at the second kick and sounded great!
  9. De Naald van Waterloo / The Waterloo Needle, Baarn/The Netherlands The Waterloo Needle was placed in honor of Willem Frederik, Prince of Orange, later King Willem II. He was the first to repulse the French attack at Brussels (Quatre Bras) in 1815 and held out so long that the Allies led by the English Commander-in-Chief Wellington arrived in time to defeat the French Emperor Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. The memorial was established in 1820. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8
  10. 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 TC Great looking car, looks original/unrestored. Maybe some damage repaired, notice the uneven gaps between the left front side panel and the door and headlight rim. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8
  11. My wife's sewing room, photographed as is. Lots of great stuff is made here, from fancy Anti-COVID mouth caps to gala dresses. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 25mm f1.8

    Haría

    Landscape near Haría, Lanzarote/Canary islands Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8

    Heineken

This one is a sort of optical illusion. It's not a multiple exposure. Also not tricked in post processing. The beer can is not real as in 3D (hint).
  15. Today I visited the exhibition "One Way Ticket to Mars" in Kunsthal KAdE Amersfoort/The Netherlands. My wife, being a real sci-fi geek and official Trekkie went along. She would join a Mars mission in a heartbeat. Hence the title, as a hommage to her 😊This artwork is made out of polyester, nails and metal pushpins and made my Belgian artist Jan Fabre in 1979.Olympus E-M10II + 12-40mm f2.8, image shot at iso 3.200. Post processing Capture One plus Nik Analog Efex And here's the original
  16. A series of images of Het Groene Huis (The Green House). This place is a Centre for Nature and Environment Education in my hometown Amersfoort. It is built environmentally and energy friendly. The outside is cladded with paneling from locally produced birch wood which should last about 50 years. The exterior of the building is designed to let it blend with the surroundings. I imagine this works better in summer than in the winter conditions when I shot these images. I would have preferred snow on the ground and on the building but that was not to be although it was very cold. 1. 2. 3.

    Madrid

A few week ago my wife and I spent a few days in Madrid/Spain. I like this city a lot, it felt really authentic Spanish. Not flooded with tourists and lots of interesting places to visit. Plus great food! I took a compact gear set with me, an Olympus E-M10II camera with Olympus 12-40mm lens and a Samyang fisheye lens. All images processed in Capture One Pro from RAW. 1. Fisheye view from the rooftop bar at 26th floor of our hotel 2. And a "normal" view 3. For fun, shot with in-camera Key Line Art Filter 4. Fisheye view of the ceiling of the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Royal of La Almudena 5. Another fisheye image (last one, promised)
  18. A HDR merged from three -1 0 +1 stop EV handheld shot Jpegs. Processed with Nik HDR and Nik Analog Efex. Please view full size and click on.
  19. IBIS (in-body image stabilization) of Olympus cameras is fantastic. Image shot at 1/8sec.
