  1. Today I shot this series of images during a visit to a vintage shop. The models were very patient and even didn't mind me using a small amount amount of on-board fill flash which is one of the reasons I like the E-M10 series a lot. Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 25mm 1.8 (imo the best of the 17/25/45mm f1.8 trio) 1. 2. 3. 4.
  2. Luc de Schepper

This one is a sort of optical illusion. It's not a multiple exposure. Also not tricked in post processing. The beer can is not real as in 3D (hint).
  3. A series of images of Het Groene Huis (The Green House). This place is a Centre for Nature and Environment Education in my hometown Amersfoort. It is built environmentally and energy friendly. The outside is cladded with paneling from locally produced birch wood which should last about 50 years. The exterior of the building is designed to let it blend with the surroundings. I imagine this works better in summer than in the winter conditions when I shot these images. I would have preferred snow on the ground and on the building but that was not to be although it was very cold. 1. 2. 3.
  4. Always interesting people aboard a ferry. A good practice ground for close-up "street" photography.
  5. Near my work a Novotel Hotel is being constructed. Not exactly an architect's dream but with the bright winter weather I couldn't resist the opportunity to shoot some images. Olympus E-M10 + Olympus 25mm f1.8 1. 2. 3.
  6. Luc de Schepper

My first attempt at watch photography. Very fast set-up, handheld with use of only natural light. Olympus E-M10 plus Olympus 25mm f1.8 @ 1/40sec f3.5 iso 250
  7. This weekend I visited Cologne, with three Dutch photo friends. Beautiful city, lots to see and photograph. 1. 2. 3. 4.
  8. A series of street images shot during a recent visit to Cologne. Olympus E-M10 + Olympus 25mm f1.8 (#1 and #2) + Panasonic 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 (#3 and #4) 1. 2. 3. 4.
  9. A series of images of (the many) bridges shot during a recent visit to Cologne. 1. Olympus E-M10 2. Fujifilm X100 3. Fujifilm X100
  10. A series of architecture images shot during a recent visit to Cologne. Please view large. 1. Microsoft Technology Center 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
  11. Street scenes from the Hohenzollern bridge of Cologne/Germany. As in many other cities couples attach "love locks" to the bridge as a symbol of their love. Olympus E-M10 + Olympus 25mm f1.8. Please view large.
  12. Two images of details of steel constructions. First one is the Hohenzollernbrücke/bridge built between 1907-1911, the second one is the roof of the Köln Hauptbahnhoff/Cologne Central Station built between 1889-1894. Olympus E-M10 + Olympus 25mm f1.8. Please view large.
  13. Image shot on my daily commute. Kodak Ektachrome 64 Pro simulation in post.
  14. Like the 45mm f1.8 the Olympus 25mm f1.8 is a very nice lens. Check this image esp. lower right corner. Shot wide open at f1.8. Link to original 4261 x 2841 size https://www.flickr.com/photos/lucdeschepper/15582185368/sizes/o/
  15. Two images shot yesterday evening in Amsterdam after visiting an exhibition of Vivian Maier's pictures (amazing stuff!). All images handheld and a testimony to the quality of the Olympus in-body-stabilization and Zuiko lenses. Please view large as image quality sucks at normal size. 1. 1/20sec f2 iso 400 2. 1/15sec f2 iso 400
  16. Olympus E-M10 25mm f1.8 @ f1.8 1/15sec iso 640

Special effects done in post processing with Nik Analog Efex Pro 2.

    Image shot handheld, f1.8 1/20sec iso 400
  19. Sometimes you encounter people who express very clear they don't want to be photographed. Like the man in this image. Sometimes it pays off to be a little cheeky and press the shutter anyway. What would you have done in this situation?

There's a flower and balloon shop at the airport where I have to switch trains on my daily commute. Now and then I check on, and photograph, their latest arrivals. Olympus E-M10 +Olympus 25mm f1.8. 1/30sec f4 iso1.600. Processed in Lightroom.
  21. The usual scene on my daily commute. Image shot at Railway Station of Schiphol Airport Amsterdam/Holland.
  22. Luc de Schepper

Tonight's dinner. Ambient light of course.
