This building was originally built in 1928 as a school. The architectural style is called "Amsterdamse School". Now a monument and used for private housing. To take this shot I had to set the lens at 12mm and stand on the public road with the risk of being run over by passing cars and busses. Somehow it worked out and I survived 😀 Olympus E-M10II + Olympus 12-40mm f2.8

A series of images of Het Groene Huis (The Green House). This place is a Centre for Nature and Environment Education in my hometown Amersfoort. It is built environmentally and energy friendly. The outside is cladded with paneling from locally produced birch wood which should last about 50 years. The exterior of the building is designed to let it blend with the surroundings. I imagine this works better in summer than in the winter conditions when I shot these images. I would have preferred snow on the ground and on the building but that was not to be although it was very cold. 1. 2. 3.

Two images shot (handheld, shutter speed 1/8sec) with a Samyang fisheye lens of the new Delft railway station. The ceiling is a reference to the world-famous Delfts Blauw pottery. With some imagination it's visible in these images. 1. 2.

Hello All, I recently did a morning shoot for a start up designer that was looking for some fun portrait shots, as well as some more artistic architectural shots with her in them. Here is a brief example. My main question is do you feel that the "high-key" b&w is overdone? I intentionally lit her from a bright window, but used the histogram to ensure I didn't blow out the highlights. I know many people will feel this is overdone, but I feel justified since I still see the outline of her face against the back lighting. Also, do you feel the framing in the bridge shots is proper, or do you have suggestions on a better way to go about it? Thanks for your c&c! You can find a couple more shots on my blog if you're interested. http://blog.lithicimages.com Cheers, Scott
