  1. Not sure why I have overlooked that one Antoinette, they're both well done shots and that 2nd one makes me comes back and look again! Very nice!!

  3. No more words are needed, just a simple but precise test which already has been proposed multiple times and that will show.
  4. This is a perfect Echinacea for me! Very nicely done Michael!
  5. Yep, the left one really jumps in ones face due to higher sharpness + microcontrast. [To name a Cosina Voigtländer 125mm CF-125 I cannot really comprehend... CV-125 I usually write]
  6. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, others will find out about that soon. I have mentioned my thoughts already about what I see. I would just be careful, considering that it is an officially sold product on the market. The content of your last sentence is correct, but it is used wrong: this is only valid for highly UV reflective areas (of a flower). The center of Hemerocallis does the opposite, it absorbs UV. Why don't you stack your filter with Baader-U as it has been proposed multiple times and then shoot Hemerocallis? When it stays the same (as Baader-U highly transmits around 365nm) I am wrong, when it turns out dark, the Precison-U leaks.
  7. Sure, stack with Baader-U would also serve well as a test. P.S.: Bjorn may have had a prototype not fully identical with the current glass recipe, so maybe that's why he had different results.
  8. Most likely not enough, could be from 600nm onwards
  9. fierceful, not really fitting a usually relaxing(?) sail tour...but a nice contrast.
  10. Quite some filter leakage I must say unfortunately. That yellowish color within a low UV reflective area (Day Lilly center) is a dead giveaway. I would recommend to make a absorption measurement with a spectrometer and there will be the proof for that. I've seen exactly the same while doing some UV filter tests, that's why I know.
  11. Andromeda-U sounds kewl to me!
  12. Very nicely done Alex! Bit on the heavy side I guess with all that metal, but certainly sturdy looking.
  13. That would about be the Saturn-U then already, further out I guess
  14. Sunshade - Lens - beamsplitter w. two ports - camera on each port (NEX for UV with UV trans filter built into port; Sony for VIS), that's how I read Alex' setup.
