  3. Awesome images Bob, rain or not!!! I actually do not mind the high key effect, for it concentrates your focus on the subject.
  4. I have been very busy with my workshops of late, for Florida is really hopping with activity right now. These are a few of the great horned owl images I have been able to capture this season. All taken with the Nikon D500 and Nikon 500 f/4E, FL, ED, VR lens. Hope everyone is well!!
  5. Much appreciated Alan and Chris!!
  6. Thanks so much Anthony and Armando!!
  7. I just finished with my trip to the Skagit River Valley in northern Washington State. I came for the eagles and they did not disappoint! The Skagit River as with a few others have now plenty of dead Salmon, having died after spawning. So it is like a buffet for them. These are just a few. All taken with the Nikon D500 and Nikon 500 f/4E, FL, ED, VR lens, and all taken from a boat which made for a challenging shoot.
  8. Much appreciated Armando!
  9. Thanks so much!!!
  10. I have been quite busy of late with workshop clients, but thought I would post a few from this past weekend. The first birds that really start nesting this time of year in Florida are the Great Blue Herons. The colors and additional feathers really make for great photography subjects. These were taken with the Nikon D500 and Nikon 300 f/4 AF-S, non VR, lens, handheld. I am off in 10 days to the Seattle area for three mornings of eagle photography down the Skagit River. This time of year with the end of the salmon run hundreds of eagles gather for the feast.
  11. Wonderful series Ken !!!!
  12. Much appreciated Chris!
  13. Thank you Anthony!
  14. Thanks much Alan !!
  15. Hi Greg Thanks! Merritt Island Scrub Jay Trail and another place called Cruikshank Sanctuary in Rockledge, which is about 20 miles south of Titusville has them on a regular bases. Now, to get them out sooner, they respond quite well to a caller, like from your phone. Also, they love unshelled peanuts, but shhhh, not really suppose to feed them. They nest March through June, then I am most careful about taking them away from their nests. Here is the link to the Sanctuary http://www.brevardcounty.us/EELProgram/Sanctuaries/HelenAllanCruickshankSanctuary
