I have not logged into fotozones for a looong time my photography has been rather abandoned since covid anyhow What is it about train tracks that are so attractive ? The lines in #1 are wonderful, I thin it can make a great large print HDR on #3 yeah , love the modern sensors , I do remember spending a long time taking multiple exposure and running them through who knows how many applications to get some so so results, quite a far cry from today's couple of sliders and done !

Really really nice images! I guess using a wide angle with a small aperture gives you all the necessary depth ? Do you fix the vertical lines in post or put lots of attention to have the camera really level? maybe both? Whatever the technique the results are superb

X-T3 on the studio Had to disable the touch screen to prevent it from doing things if my nose touched the screen Other than that zero problems, Felt odd to have the little x-t3 surrounded by DSLRs, after a while people started asking about the little mirrorless

Vivion, I use the ioptron skytracker it runs on 4 AA batteries, a bit challenging to align the first few times butwith practice , as everything else , I can do it now in a few minutes

A night out with the X-T3 1. Horse head nebula, I tried to capture this many times with the D800 getting only so-so results even in very dark sites, this is taken from a not so dark location and yet the amount of red is beyond anything I was able to get before, 67 minute exposure, shot at 300mm 2. Center of the milky way, shot at 70mm, 40 mins 3. Lagoon nebula, shot at 300mm, 20 mins Even when I'm using the same lens I use with the D800, the nikon 70-300 zoom, the reduction in weight and size ( less leverage) allows to shoot long exposures at 300mm with very good tracking

for proper display of the jpg on the web , you need to go to edit convert to profile Destination space: sRGB (or something that starts with that) then go and save the image as a jpg I still think it is easier to do: file , export, save for web any resizing I'll do it before the export, because it is faster

great detail ! Are you exporting in sRGB? I do not have problems with with the colors of my images varying between ps and the browsers

Thanks Anthony, It is certainly an adjustment coming from the D800 Luc, I started reading the manual, there are 50+ parameters that can be displayed on the screen ! Backyard roses with adapted sigma 150mm macro fmount

A few observations: One of the reason I bough the X-T3 is the tilting screen but I had it turned off after my nose sent some unexpected commands and it took me a while to get it back to "normal" I spent some time yesterday figuring out how to better use the touch functionality, the ability to turn it on/off so that my nose does send unexpected commands while using the viewfinder is great Also played with the connectivity to my mobile, it is a nice feature, but is it practical ? I do not know yet I'm following a lazy approach to learn the camera, as I mentioned earlier, using it in manual mode is very simple, understanding the nuances of the automatic modes is more a curiosity , a bit annoying when I expect to see the exposure changing but it does not, or expect it to adjust automatically and it doesn't, so ... I end up in manual mode often, I have to understand better the exposure compensation I expect I'll eventually use it in a studio, I'll have to remember where to tweak the live view so that it works as an optical viewfinder without displaying the image that will result from the exposure settings. I like how the focus area can change size by moving the command dial Battery life is not so bad, I was expecting worse I found the menu to reprocess a raw file in camera, I thing often do in the D800 AF is able to lock in conditions where it is very dark and I do not distinguish details, that is without the use of the AF illuminator

Thank you Dallas My comment is using the reference of the of the pano shots shared by Alan, he's have incredible detail mine was shot in a rush, without real planning and proper technique, given this my expectations are unreal

Brought the fuji to work I made a pano of a patio that I like , just outside my work area I have to remember the aps-c sensor does not have the depth of field of the V1, I used f/5.6 and the background is not in focus

Thanks for the comments, specially for the review of lenses I still need to try the many features offered by the camera, I think many things are implemented just because the developers can Using it in manual everything has been a very rewarding experience I know the camera / lenses will perform very well on nearly any situation, I'm very interested to see how it works when doing astrophotography, I've seen a few comments on internet mentioning the xtrans sensor is more sensitive to the H-alpha channel which with the bayer sensors is only doable by modifying the camera.
