    Remembering Everest Base Camp

Thank you all for the feedback. I agree about the lack of contrast in the tents. I used the wrong filter. I have many other pics of this place in color too.

The Z6 gives me more freedom....

I'm carrying it with me more often.... But I still don't like the missing green dot. With the AF lenses the red square focus indicator becomes green. That's super. Why not with the manual focus lenses? As someone told me, I've assigned my Fn1 button to zoom the viewfinder. It's not enough for me. I used a Zeiss 18mm f/3.5 Distagon in this pic .

The Z6 gives me more freedom....

At first I got no focus confirmation at all and had to turn on the peaking highlights to have something. The beloved, primitive, greend ot does not appear even with AF lenses. Maybe my camera is deffective or I did not find the right page to read in the manual.

The Z6 gives me more freedom....

I believe the image quality of the Z6 if not equal would be better than of the D4s. It seems also to be very robust and reliable. The downsize is battery endurance, but there is no problem for me to carry one or two spares is my pocket. The less weight to carry makes me very happy, since I move a lot when photographing. Anyway, I'll keep my D5.

The Z6 gives me more freedom....

I don't know what is happening. With manual focus lenses, any of them, the only way to check focus is by the peaking highlights feature, which I don't like at all. With AF lenses the red square focus indicator that you move through the frame becomes green when focus is achieved. Never seen the green dot so far. I'm still learning.
  13. Very good condition. Just 9965 pics taken. With battery, strap, charger and manual. No box. Goes with a compactflash card, DK-19 rubber eyecup and Real Right Stuff bracket. I'll go to the USA in March and could carry with me to avoid customs problems (same for the 58mm f/1.2 Noct I'm still selling). Sorry guys from elsewhere for I don't know how to avoid these customs problems to ship it to there. US$ 3500

What Do You Want From Fotozones?

I want a place where I can post my pics and see good pics from the community and read reviews of the latest equipment. I understand that many people prefer photographic equipment over the pics. I witnessed it at last year's Photokina. Few people looking at wonderful pics at the the various galleries and the cameras makers stands crowded. I love equipment too, but they don't mean anything if I can not make good images with it. You can picture in your mind the several 85 yo rich men that are proud of their Ferraris parked in their garage but don't know the pleasure to drive it at 200km/h in a curve. (I don't know that either, but I'm not 85 not rich nor have a Ferrari. lol). Similar to many photographic equipment owners.

First pics with my Nikon Z6

At the Universal Islands of Adventure. Manual focus with a Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Distagon with a cpl filter. I really don't like the absence of the green dot focusing aid. Other than that, the camera is a pleasure to use. Battery lasts for 300 pics (RAW + jpg fine) with camera always turned on in viewfinder priority mode, so I'll need to carry 2 or 3 batteries for every photo session with it.

First pics with my Nikon Z6

I'm still learning how to use the camera, but having to press a button twice to check focus does not seem right to my kind of photography (landscape and street). Modern is not the same as better. I still prefer the primitive green dot.
  18. I find this lens extremely useful and like its result as much as I like the 105mm f/1.4G for portraits. Thank you for looking.

    Museu do Amanhã

Rio's newest museum. Museu do Amanhã (Tomorrow Museum). I've posted it taken a while ago with a 18mm f/3.5 Zeiss Distagon. This one was taken with the 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E last weekend. Both with the Df. Thank you for looking. Merry Christmas for you all!!!!!!
