Motorbike travel to Carretera Austral in Chile

On March/9 I left Macaé with 2 friends to Villa O'Higgins, where the end of the Carretera Austral (Ruta 7) is.
Highway made to brave southern Chile, kind of like Transamazon, but this has a reputation for being one of the most beautiful roads in the world. I checked it myself.
On March/18 we passed Km 0, in Puerto Monnt and arrived at the end on March/22.
To complete the route until entering Argentina again there were 948 km of ripio, gravel floor that makes riding the heavy bikes dangerous and stressful.
The highway is 1247 km long, but we have to go back much of the way for itself until it takes the east direction to Argentina.
To complete the route requires 4 ferry crossings.

We expect to ride 13000km in total.
We are still in Argentina and take the day to rest today, so I was able to pp some photos. Most were made with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Nikon Z6 was very little used.

Wow! What an amazing adventure you’re about to have. There are members of my family who are into their adventure biking and also go on similar trips here in South Africa. They would love to know more about this route, so I am going to send them this link. I hope to see more shots as you progress. :)

I'm home already.

The trip was 12000 km long and was perfect. No serious mishap and always wonderful scenery.

Plus the pleasure of riding my motorbike for 27 days.

I took the Z6 with the 14-30mm f/4Z and the 70-200mm f/4G but used it very few times.

Most pictures were taken with the iPhone 11 Pro Max because I didn't have to dismount and open the case to reach for the camera.

Maybe I'll prepare a last set of images where the handlebar of the motorbike is in all images.

Thank you all for commenting.
