New lenses

I got an email today announcing two new Nikon Z lenses.  A 28-75 f/2.8 and an 800 f/6.3.

The 800 is a pf lens, so probably represents a saving in size and weight over the old F mount and will convince Z users that the exotics super Tele lenses are coming.

The 28-75 f/2.8 seems a bit strange given there is already a 24-70 f/2.8 - if the objective is being smaller and lighter, wasn’t that the purpose of the f/4 range of zooms?

I believe the 28-75 f2.8 is a re-branded Tamron lens.  I think the market is for people who can't afford a 24-70 f2.8S but still want/need a f2.8 lens instead of f4

The 800 f6.3 is a realization of the new Z-mount system where you can get decent autofocus and screen brightness at f6.3.  That means a lighter/cheaper lens line that is still usable in the field.
