Very sharp and compact.

Very nice work you have. The sharpness there is fine, better than in my pics. I'll do some more testing to see if there is any problem with my copy.

This is one of my favorite prime lenses of all time.  Such versatility in a small package. It takes teleconverters well also!

Looking more carefully, maybe it is not as sharp as I would want it, at least not in these pics.

Its sister 500mm Pf is wonderful in this aspect.

I've not had issues with sharpness. Could it be sample variation? I can share an album of what I've taken with the 300 if you'd like to compare. Just let me know.

Yes, I'd like to see your pics.

What do you think about the sharpness of the pictures in this post?  

They were taken handheld, with VR on.

Hard to tell leased on the monochrome processing. Figured it was a creative choice.
