The title shouldn't need any further clarification...

The big picture from above.

These images were all taken on the 7 year old Olympus E-M1 with the Leica 8-18mm. I let the Auto-ISO float to 12800 and processed these in Lightroom, using a B&W profile in the picker. I think I mostly chose profile #1 but there were a couple of others, including at least one #6.

I still love the grainy look of these Olympus cameras at high ISO. I haven't tried pushing the ISO this high on my G9. Might be time to test that out.

Nice pics. I agree the Olympus cameras have a pleasant rendering on high-iso's. Are you happy with the Mac mini now? I remember some toothing problems in the beginning.

Thanks Luc.

Actually, I am taking the Mini back to the iStore for some diagnostics checks tomorrow. This machine has never been 100% right. There is something in the way they have made this thing that is causing serious RFI when using USB-C devices. I am constantly getting Bluetooth dropouts multiple times a day that causes my Magic Trackpad 2 to lose the connection. It's super frustrating to say the least. Lately I am unable to use my HyperDrive USB-C card reader on this Mac either. It will either not detect the card at all, or it will detect it then drop the connection. Also, when it does that it loses the wifi signal.

Personally I think there was a design flaw in the way they implemented the USB-C on these 2018 Minis. I see that they have now quietly dropped 2 of the ports from the 2020 M1 model, so they obviously know about this flaw, but in true Apple fashion they would rather inconvenience their customers instead of admitting the problem.

Just now, Luc de Schepper said:

Hm, do you use a USB-hub? I've had problems connecting devices to a unpowered USB-hub.

The HyperDrive is a hub of sorts - designed for the iPad Pro. It's weird that it works then doesn't work, however the more annoying issue is that even when it is not attached to the Mini I still get the trackpad dropouts. I'm pretty sure computers are supposed to just work, so if they feed me that line I guess I will ask them if this is another of those incidents like the iPhone 4 when Steve Jobs told us we were "holding it wrong". :)
