1989 Nikon Prices in the USA

Recommended Posts

I found this magazine today here.

This publication, along with its sister Popular Photography (lately they merged together), National Geographic and the french Photo were always purchased by me for many years, to a point I had to send  a ton to recycling.

For the sake of curiosity, I photographed the Nikon prices asked by B&H in March 1989. Note that the store was in another address and was not as famous as it is today.

See that some icons are present as the 300mm f/2 IF-ED (US$ 26.375,00 in today's US$), 13mm f/5.6, 6mm f/2.8 fisheye, zoom 180-600mm f/8 and the 58mm f/1.2 Noct.

You have to multiply the prices by 2.11 to compare them to the actual US$.

Interesting!

I recently watched a multi-part docu-series about the year 1989 produced by National Geographic. Fascinating changes in our world occurred that year.
