I wonder what they do with the lathe?

I am guessing that items such as replacement wheels, gears, stanchions, couplings, bollards etc would be some of the items needed for the locomotives, rolling stock, and model railway scenery/layouts would be some of the things made on the lathe.

 

I must say that this is a fairly neat workshop.  Is it an early model of Myford lathe?
