Table Mountain on film / Nikon F5 2004

Rather a tablecloth day .. I remember the cable car ! After about 25 yards it begins to rotate .. no warning !!

Great series of images, Maurice. 
 

I only ever went up that mountain when my folks took us on holiday to CT in 1983. That was when they still had the old non-rotating, open sided cable cars. My Mom refused to get onboard, so she stayed below at the foot of the mountain while we explored the top. The thing that sticks in my mind the most about it was how much cooler it was up there. 
 

I wonder how they got the building materials up there to construct the thing?

I've only been up table Mountain once in the 1960s, I recall the scene being spoilt by a dam great water cistern.I still have a certificate somewhere which you bought from the cafe!
