I have never got this far up the Mosel Mike. We keep promising ourselves that we will take a drive up the valley when next in Remich but it hasn't happened yet.

I must say your shots make it look very attractive.

Mike, Cochem is a lovely riverside town with a castle overlooking the town! It used to be me and wife’s favourite wine buying  place when travelling by coach, but now That I fly to my cruises, the weight penalty would be too onerous.

if you do get to visit Cochem search out the Weingut Andre Goebal. A photo of the shop!

Mike, the tour companies should put you on a commission!  Or you should go into the post card business.

Yes lenses, cameras, cards, film, tea, coffee, pizzas, beer, wine,.....

Don’t forget the German pastries,  which are very yummy as my expanding waistline can attest. 😉

Mike, German pastries are amazing.

For a healthy meal, have a big plate of curry wurst followed by a big pastry with whipped cream.

As JFK said, "I am a doughnut" (Ich bin ein Berliner). He meant to say "Ich bin Berliner" (I am a Berliner).

Run, don't walk, to your nearest wine shop.

SA has some very good wines.

That is a BIG Café glacé!

I had a somewhat smaller one two hours ago, with a slice of tarte tatin.
