I think I would have preferred to see the boat in focus and the leaves out of focus, but good framing, Mike.

That’s because I’m not yet familiar enough with the focusing system, I will get better!

Ever since I used an auto focus camera for the first time I have mostly stuck with the same way of doing it: central AF point only, acquire focus, recompose. Occasionally I will use the AF points at the sides when I am doing portraits, but that doesn't happen often. I also never got the hang of the rear AF button method that so many swear by. And... horror of horrors, even when I am shooting action I don't use AF-C. The AF on the E-M1 is so fast that it works better if I just keep gunning the shutter. Needless to say I have the AF confirmation beep turned off. :)
