Granny Moth

Recommended Posts

At some indeterminate time in the past a Granny Moth died behind my copy stand, which I discovered today and did what seemed pretty obvious with the copy stand so close - a 38 stack, X-T2, Zeiss Touit 2.8/50M Makro lens, closest part of the moth at 1:1 focus.

(The detail has suffered greatly in downsizing for web, particularly the eye, unfortunately).

Not to pixel peek, but here's a 100% crop of the eye just to demonstrate how much the 66% reduction in file size for the main post messes with detail:

Thanks, Aguinaldo, Armando and Ann - of course I couldn't let the poor girl go into the bin before making some sort of tribute to her lonely demise in a darkroom.
