You're right about that Mike. I prefer #2 because of it's symmetry and balance but to each his own that's why I posted two versions

I can see the merit for both images. I actually prefer ,#1 for the leading lines of the pillars in the top half of the image.

Beautifully clean images - no preference for one over the other, they both stand on their merits.
