Interesting how you have two sources of light a big soft one down to the right and a smaller harder up to the left, slightly behind

Lighting is interesting, but I'm not sure about the large empty area on the left. Chopping that off improves the whole thing markedly to my eye, shifting the whole composition to the right would be better still.

have you considered the potential merit of image stacking?

with long glass even f/16 yields a razor thin DOF...

Hmm. Unconventional in many ways - composition, color, DOF, etc.  I like the geometry and the way it somehow teases the viewer, but I think it fading away at the left and the bottom a bit much. Still, that may be why it's so different.  Print it, show it at an art opening.
