I see some red lines along the edges of the houses. I guess it's just artifacts from the postprocessing.

If I'm not wrong the eye-shaped rendition is only due to vignetting and no other aberration involved.

Is there any lens out there with 100% field of illumination on 35mm format?

Pick any lens designed for a much larger format, say...a 150/5.6 Symmar.
