Amsterdam in the Evening

Recommended Posts

Two images shot yesterday evening in Amsterdam after visiting an exhibition of Vivian Maier's pictures (amazing stuff!). All images handheld and a testimony to the quality of the Olympus in-body-stabilization and Zuiko lenses. Please view large as image quality sucks at normal size.

Yunfat, Amsterdam is a very nice city to visit and great for photography also. Exit Amsterdam promotion mode  ;)  Seriously, great place and I love visiting the town where I was born and raised.

I agree with Luc Amsterdam is a super place to visit and it has been far to long since I've been there!

No 2 is my favourite.

This one is a sort of optical illusion. It's not a multiple exposure. Also not tricked in post processing. The beer can is not real as in 3D (hint).

The PVH Campus is the European HQ of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
Strinking, modern architecture and no expenses spared by the look of it.

The Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) is a 15th century church located on Dam Square, next to the Royal Palace.
The Nieuwe Kerk is no longer used for church services but is used as an exhibition space. It is also used for organ recitals.
The main organ in these images was completed in 1655 and consists of 5.005 pipes.

Amsterdam, a "classic" view shot from the ferry across the river IJ. On the left the filmmuseum EYE and on the right the Amsterdam Tower.

Double click on the image to view the excellent performance of this lens, image was shot wide open at f4.
