London's latest landmark.

D800 with 28mm f2 AIS - please view large.

A very unusual yet effective composition, very clever depiction.

Can we see some photos from the top viewing gallery?  :D

Thanks, Tony. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare hundred quid for the entrance fee.

A hundred quid to enter??!!

Nice composition as Tony said but I m a bit skeptical about the HDR-looking treatment.

I forgot to say: the plane between the two shards is a nice touch.

Thanks to all who commented.

Simone - sorry you don't like the PP but there was no HDR, just a little opening out of shadow areas and a bit of contrast added,

It is £25 to go up to the viewing deck if you book in advance; £100 if you just turn up without booking.

Sorry my comment did not come out quite as intended.

I did not mean that it is a HDR. Simply that similarly to some HDR's the shadows have been opened a bit too much for me; I have the impression there is a halo as is often the case when highlight/shadow recovery tools are used.

I am just used to more blocked shadows in shots like this and when the shadow are opened the look seems unnatural to me.

A very sharp price for experiencing the Shard (if you'll forgive the pun). But I guess if people are willing to pay, than all power to who set the price...
