wildoat 1,024 Posted 16 March, 2013 (edited) Totally impressed with the Welsh team performance today, they wanted it and they went and got it. Epic commitment, very well won by way more than the requisite points margin to be Champions for the second year running. Thoroughly deserved, oh and I'm not Welsh by the way still wish I had been there. Edited 16 March, 2013 by wildoat
olivier 0 Posted 16 March, 2013 Well done Wales! What about the "impressive" performance of the French team? Wasn't that unexpected? Maybe tonight they will finish with a first win!

wildoat 1,024 Posted 16 March, 2013 Bollocks!!! Lol, you weren't impressed then I'd rather England had won but as I'm sure you know rugby is a game for realists, Wales played better and deserved the win, for that they have my respect. And just for the record, I don't follow football

Mebyon K 7 Posted 16 March, 2013 When England play Wales I don't mind who wins. If it's England, although the native Cornish such as myself, are not English, we accept that Cornwall is part of England. If Wales win then our fellow Celts have triumphed. Tersn 398 Posted 16 March, 2013 Here in Norway it's all about (cross country) skiing now. Almost nobody is interested in rugby. Personally, I am enjoying the candidate tournament for the world championship in chess these days, with Magnus Carlsen as one of the favorites.

Colin-M 232 Posted 17 March, 2013 (edited) Wales played better and deserved the win, for that they have my respect. I too would have loved England to win. But their performances over the whole 6 Nations have been moderate & efficient, rather than ones worthy of true champions. However much Wales were blitzed in the first half of their game against Ireland, they bounced back. On the basis of Saturday's performance, England didn't deserve to finish top. However they're an interesting work in progress and the quality of their performance against the All Blacks last autumn still seems recent enough to be relevant. Mind you, the final table makes for interesting reading: Must be a first to have Scotland & Italy finishing above Ireland & France? yunfat 394 Posted 17 March, 2013 (edited) Just think... if rugby, sheep herding, and bar fights were a little more popular... Wales would be the most powerful country in the world. Edited 17 March, 2013 by yunfat
Dallas 2,660 Posted 17 March, 2013 Just think... if rugby, sheep herding, and bar fights were a little more popular... Wales would be the most powerful country in the world. They've still got a long way to go on the rugby front in that regard. Not World Cup finalists yet, whereas each southern hemisphere rugby nation (except Argentina) has won the tournament twice.
