Here's my 0.02.
I haven't gotten much use on the D3 yet, these were both taken with D2h. Orchid with a low power fill flash, f11, 1/60 and the Clivia in natural light f22, 1/25.
I have found that manual focus and extreme attention to DOF is required.
My next project with it will be winter lichen and moss, working to balance natural winter low light with some fill flash - some kind of flash holder attached to the lens mount foot is necessary to get the flash out over the lens. Off camera will work too but I don't have a wireless trigger yet.
Tripod mandatory, of course.
Couldn't let this lens post from Dallas go unanswered any longer.

I guess that everyone that have been working with this lens agree on that it absolutely super cool
I really do like your pictures. Especially the first one.
Here's another orchid (lady slippers).

Just few shots to show you what this lens can do in terms of color saturation, sharpness and bokeh.
As to image quality, this lens performs, in my opinion, "above the average" to "outstanding". Its building quality is excellent, too. However, its practical use isn't so easy, mostly because it is heavy, its focus is critical and a good tripod is strongly recommended.
