The image quality of the lens is simply great. Period.

But, again, the lens somewhat slow down the shutter release responce a little when stopped down. If you don't mind that, the lens should make you happy.

I have nothing but praises for this lens despite its bigger size and higher price compared to the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 which I also still use. I regularly use this lens for video wide-open with very good results.

My primary complaint about this lens is that its hood does not reverse into the lens so this lens take up considerably more space in my bag or case. To illustrate, within the same space occupied by this lens, I can carry 3 other lenses, e.g., 12mm f/2.0, 14mm f/2.5, and 20mm f/1.7. This complaint notwithstanding, this lens deserves no less than 5-stars.

A very good (at least) lens, sharp wide open, nice bokeh (not quite AFS 85/1.4G level though).

The only (bearable) minuses so far: LoCA (wide open) still a bit too high for my taste. Also rattles, for unclear reasons, which can be disturbing in silent places (churches...).

I still have to test it on night shots, which is an important use of such lens.
