Nice work Bez ... both ... images and conversion
Interesting, how you perceive your hometown :)
Looking forward to the other 49 images!

Thank you Chris!

I love my home-town but yes I don't think I will get a commission from the tourist board to promote my city :-)
It is winter with short days at the moment I hope to present different aspects of life as the season changes.

Cheers
Bez

Hey RC just checked in again & saw the new images.

I really like #2, #3 is great timing (actually great timing for both).

Capturing motion within a urban context is unique

Patience in practice , well done.

Have you ever tried downtown urbanscape panos?

Usually shot from outside in, these would be urban street shots from within

I haven't but going to give it a try in a few weeks

Hello Rags,

Thank you for the kind words.

You have me hooked on trying the "panos", it sounds cool..... but I need some tuition please, you lost me :-)

Excellent images and a great idea for a project.

The old saying, shoot what you know, certainly works for this project, Bez.

Great stuff and I look forward to seeing the rest of the shots as the year unfolds.

Hello Rick,

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it really is motivating to know you are following the project. It may seem an easy pick but when I reviewed my 2012 images. I was amazed and embarrassed to see gaps of weeks without shots in my city centre, and I live central.

My excuse is that I travel extensively and often come home jaded, but I expect the real reason is I am just lazy.

Unfortunately I have not managed to nail a single stand alone image yet. But I hope the series as a whole will give a feel for the changing vibe of city life over 2013.

Cheers

And infrared as well! Did the young man know he was in the frame, or did he believe you were aiming much higher?
You are barely visible as a reflexion next to the tree...

He knew and he must of thought I was a nutter crawling around on my knees framing the shot. I took a few shots while he looked away but curiosity got the better of him and he looked into the lens thankfully.

I started shooting hiding behind the tree but had to move to frame the shot.

I can spot your knee-walking in the pane there.
Excellent shot btw. This is fisheye use at its best.
