I bought this lens because it was going really cheap. Having read a few online reviews I wasn't expecting too much, but the two things I really liked about it were that it doesn't change length when zooming and it also has a built in zooming motor and optical image stabiliser. This gives you a very compact telephoto option for the m43 system, equivalent to 90-350mm on an FX frame but in a package that is just shy of 14cm long with the hood attached.

Yes, it is slow in the apertures and it doesn't have that biting sharpness that you would expect from a lens that has been designated as X series by Panasonic, but on the whole I think it's OK. I used it on the 2012 Nikongear safari together with the Olympus OM-D and was quite pleasantly surprised on a few occasions to get decent shots from it.

A drawback to this lens is that you can't switch off the OIS on the lens. You have to switch it off on the body which in the case of the OMD isn't possible, so I had to switch off the IBIS to avoid conflicts. Truth be told, I have never really noticed a problem when I have both image stabiliser systems running simultaneously on the OM-D.

Here's an image or two taken with that combo (click to enlarge them):
