Rags,

I just took a quick look at Adorama and could not find any offer near the price of $249. Since there are many flavors of Photoshop CS6 could you provide a link.
Best Regards,
Roger

It's still just aperture, shutter-speed and ISO.... right?

You may not have to wait for the shipped DVD to reach you:

If you haven't already used-up your 30-day free trial, you can download it and start playing with the full version immediately.

Have fun with CS6 — I definitely am!!!

I used up my beta. Working with old Elements 7.

I was going to wait for the release of the D400, but then realized I won't be using ACR .

Clicking on that link (from outside the USA, granted, although this is a US site) gets this result:

I used the link yesterday and ordered it for 249.-, but today the price using the same link is 669.-
Obviously a time-limited offer.

Just got an email from Adorama saying that CS6 is back-ordered.
I hope I don't get another email saying that "sorry, we are not able to fulfill your order." I have experienced that before :(

If they didn't have a catch line something like: "until supplies last" I'd be sending them a really angry email if they turn back to you and tell you they can't fulfill the order at that price. But again their online system should be set up to prohibit further orders to their system once the limit had been reached. If you don't mind please let us know if you get turned down.

My guess is that someone on Adorama's web site team blundered and it will be interesting if anyone who ordered at the offered $249 can hold Adorama to their offer.

My guess is that the quoted price was for an Upgrade to Photoshop CS6 which will only work for someone who already owns a version of Photoshop CS3 or later with the added possibility that the Buyer may have to be resident in the USA or Canada and will need to install and register that CS6 Upgrade before December.

An economical way to acquire Photoshop these days is by Subscribing to it on a monthly basis — which you can (or you could) do for $20 per month with a 12-month contract.

At least I hope that you still can, but I can't find that offer on Adobe's web Site any longer so maybe it's no longer available?

Pictureline had it on sale for that price a few days (maybe a week or so) ago.... so I'm thinking it is legit, just very short term offers...

Edited _ they still have it, but it expires soon.

Here's the link.

Alan:

That UK screen is the same as the way it was on the USA site until very recently but, when I checked this morning, it has now been removed.

My guess is that perhaps the offer ran out 31st August so anyone who wants to use the $20 subscription rate may need to jump on it very quickly — possibly through the UK site given in your link.

---------

The page is back up again now. Perhaps Adobe is simply doing some site management work over this holiday weekend?

Adorama's low-price offer might be a response to a campaign B&H had a few days ago - if you bought Lightroom or Elements at the regular price, you could also include CS6 for 249.-. This offer from B&H expired on Aug 31.
