If you get to Chicago stop in at this great lil' camera store. They just might have some of those accessories and Nikon trinkets you haven't been able to find anywhere else. As an outlet for the students and pros in and around the city core they do a fair walk-in bussiness in a shop that could give a clautrophobe a bit of a shiver. The sales staff is mostly old school and when ya ask for a eyepiece ring for and FMn they reach for the goods without a sneer or questioning glance.
Their film prices are competitive if you check the web for comparison first (decent B&W selection), the displays for bags and studio/field goods are right in the aisle for checking size and function (and squeezing by if the crowd thickens).
All in all a great experience and a good resource.

I have done business with Central on numerous occasions, and have been totally satisfied.  Family owned and operated for more than a century.  Same sales folks there now as the first time I visited in 1997.  Tremendous selection and variety of high-quality products, especially given the tight quarters.  As Jeff pointed out, hard-to-find vintage items can be found there, too.  The only problem they have, in my opinion, is the 10.25% sales tax in the city of Chicago, the highest of any major city in the US.  That tax has got to hurt their business on high-end equipment, I know it keeps me from buying big ticket items from them.
