Looks like it is wildlife this week ;-)

Ranger Rich posted a majestic lion shot in http://www.fotozones...n-after-sunset/

post-9902-0-12203200-1371720162.jpg

Then there is this Mountain Bluebird by rbsandor in http://www.fotozones...bugs-for-lunch/

post-2735-0-63939700-1371828054.jpg

And then we have a snake with a snack from tommiejeep in http://www.fotozones...back-with-frog/

post-9120-0-09282600-1371820748.jpg

All of them are excellent wildlife shots.

cheers

Andrea B.'s beautiful palm trees, from an unconventional view point (first one in http://www.fotozones...lms-looking-up/):

I had a hard time deciding between the snake and the palm trees.

In the end it's the palm trees I like a little better for it's unusualness, the tones and the fact that it is a really good IR image (yes ... with a little Vis as well :)).

Great image Andrea!

Congrats.  Not your typical picture of a palm.

Hey, wow !! I just saw this. :D

Thank you very much for the PoTW honor.

I enjoyed making this image (and the others in that series). So I'm happy that others are enjoying it also.

Congrats Andrea. A really interesting image. The rest of the selections were also of excellent quality. As an aside, your new avatar looks quite similar to my oldest daughter. She turns 30 later this year and has done a bit of modeling (just not for me). Thought you wouldn't mind the parallel. :D

Andrea this was a particularly strong week I feel, your image is different

and actually quite beautiful, well done.

To the runners up, all great images, thanks for sharing them  :)

Thank you, Tony.
It's funny that I didn't see the possibilities in this image until some time had passed.
