Ron: very neat shot of a spectacular fish. I do a lot of fly fishing for tarpon. When hooked, there are few things more exciting than seeing a leaping tarpon. Richard

Thank you Richard.  I have seen tarpon hunting underwater on a night dive in Bonaire.  it is rather spectacular as you can hear the jaws snap shut.  I shot this from a dock with the fish about one foot underwater.

Dave, do you mean me or the photograph?   :D  Thank you.  One of these days I will fall off the dock and ruin a camera.

I like this for so many reasons.  First, when I first saw it, I wasn't sure about what I was looking at, but it didn't matter, because it was cool.

Then, I smile and really start to enjoy the abstract humor of the moment, the soft, sensous, surreal focus, and lastly, the hypnotic gaze of the moment.

Cool shot.

Thank you Rick.  The humor is manifold.  I could not seem to take a straight nature photo that week is one.  The other is a guy who goes by "Scubadiver" and was diving that week is taking pictures of fish and rays from above water on a dock.  At that location tarpon appear every evening, just before sunset.  The fish in the image is about 1 meter long.  As noted above, they are spectacular when encountered under water.
