Hasselblad is displaying the controversial Lunar, an NEX-7 based mirrorless camera, at CP+ in Yokohama, Japan:

http://dc.watch.impr...201_586085.html

Again, all texts are in Japanese, but you can see large images of this someswhat lunatic camera when you click the thumbnails.

The article reports that Lunar will hit the shelf (!) in April and the lens/body kit will cost about 5000 euros.

They offer the grip covered with same leather as that used on the steering of Porsche or the grip handmade by professional sculptor.

So, I won't be surprised if they would take your order!

People who spend that kind of money on something so hideous need a good walloping.

If you rub it, it turns into a full gear bag.

i am ordering one of these right away...... :sungum:

I have always dreamed of being a super cool photographer.

All kidding aside, and I know you guys are going to think I am crazy, but I actually like the way it looks. If I was a much younger man, I think I might get one just to attract the women. I can see this camera being a big time chick magnet. xD

Pictures reminds me to Photokina. At the photokina last year in Cologne, they showed in every detail almost each little step, how the grip is carved out of wood, what wood and how and what leather is applied, as if this was the uttermost important thing about this camera.

Well, the Lunar seems to be one of the rare cameras whose outlook stimulates more buzz than its functionality does.

According to the linked article, Lunar will be released in five different "standard" versions initially, and customizable versions on order will follow.
