I like the attitude of this bird feeding. Sharp subject with details on the plumage.
Not easy when there is a lack of light!

Sometimes the darn weather just doesn't cooperate!
Good low shooting angle. Well exposed.
I would prefer not to have the dark wave line and debris right behind the bird as it doesn't stand out as distinctly.
A look back pose can work well, but is most effective when the head is turned back more our way.
The bird is a bit centered in the frame.
I spend a lot of time on birds, so have pretty strong opinions about pictures of them. Not necessarily right, just what I find works best for my images.

Havent done much birding so I appreciate any tips.
Will go back later and see if I can do better. Its a bird preserve so chances are high:-)
Just ordered a Nikon V1 and word is it works very well with my Sigma 100-300mm f/4.
