Very enjoyable! Looking forward to the next installment.

I like your comment on many levels that flying is for the birds.  ;D I'm surprised that you didn't stow away on the luggage vehicle to avoid your second flight.

Just great Dallas. You gave me my morning laugh.

Love the cell-phone video with the hail. Love seeing the Nikons firing away as the large hail keeps falling.
Regards
Doug

Here are a few more photographs of us all enjoying ourselves at Golfers Lodge, Johannesburg where we gathered after our various very long flights from the far corners of the world.

Nicola and Pepe relaxing in the sun by the edge of the pool:

Oh, what wonderful pictures, Ann! Thank you so much for posting these. I had fully intended to take my camera with me to get more photos of the opening braai, but we got so busy during the day that I clean forgot. Same thing happened at last year's safari. ::) More please! ;D

You did such a great job on the "Safari in Words" essay that I was immediately inspired to dig through my photos and post these!

Please feel free to use any of them in any way that you wish or combine them into the Blog if you want to.

I can collect up some from Day 2 as well if you like?

Some Photographs From Day 2:

Finally we are all assembled at the Boarding Gate ready for our flight to the Kruger International Airport at Nelspruit. Graham has reappeared and Dallas is just getting his breath back after racing round the airport in search of Graham.

From L. to R. (but some are partially hidden):
Graham, Rebeca, Frederico, Filipa, Anthony,, Merete, Jørn, Nicola and Dallas.

Aerial view as we approach Nelspruit:

Kruger Park international Airport has quite the most attractive terminal that I have  ever passed through:
http://www.fotozones...g2_itemId=40577

Dallas checking text messages to find that Pepe and her colleague Richard (who had left Johannesburg before dawn to drive the 6-hour journey to Nelspruit towing a trailer that contained all of our luggage) is just arriving at the airport at that moment to pick us all up. Incredible planning and timing!

A couple of hours later and we reach Little Bush Camp where the staff come out to greet us and help us unload our luggage.

Looking forward to it too, glo. :)

For me the best parts of the safari are meeting the participants and sharing in the common love of taking pictures. Making these posts about the adventures is also great fun.
